DC/DC Charger Converters

DC/DC Charger Converters are a device that takes variable input voltage and modulates this to be a pre-set/ variable output voltage.  The DCDC chargers are rated to different power levels that enable a maximum charge rate into the Leisure Batteries, typically this may be 30Amps, but there are lower power models available for certain situations.  The DC/DC Charger is considered an essential addition to most lithium set ups as the DCDC charger Converter allows you to charge the Leisure Batery bank from the vehicle alternator/ Start battery in a safe, controlled way. Protecting the Lithium battery as well as limiting the drain from the Vehicle Alternator so preventing overheating .  These devices can be fitted in parallel configuration to provide more power as needed to match the alternator output. typically we would suggest customers do not exceed 50% of their alternators rated output, and once installed monitor the settings and set up including monitoring the temperature of the alternator during operation.   DCDC chargers prevent overcharging and over voltage to the leisure battery and separate the lead acid start battery from the higher voltage lithium battery so preventing back charging into the start battery.
